Igor Kunitsyn started playing tennis at a very young age of seven years. He loved the sport and kept on playing with inspiration from his grandparents, who brought him up in Vladivostok, on the eastern coast of Russia. He turned professional in the year 1999.Accomplished Career of Igor Kunitsyn
Kunitsyn is best known for his two matches against Marat Safin. The first of which happened in 2007 which was the Tennis Channel Open's round robin stage. He won the first set, couldn't win the second but then consecutively won the next three matches before losing the 4th.
