The full name of Michael Phelps is Michael Fred Phelps who was born in the year 1985 June 30 at Baltimore, Maryland America. Phelps is one of the best swimmer in the world. Phelps won 18 gold medals in Olympic games. Beijing Olympics was his best one where he won 8 gold medals in that Olympics. In 2004 Athens Olympics Phelps grabbed six gold medals and two bronze.
With his amazing performance in International swimming, Michael Phelps awarded World Swimmer of the Year in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Award six times and also won American Swimmer of the Year Award 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 eight times.
