PGA Tour: This is the main organizer of all the men's professional golf tours in the United States and also North America. It includes its flagship tour (also called PGA Tour), Champions Tour (also known as the Senior PGA Tour for golfers aged 50 and over) and the Nationwide Tour (for professional players who have not yet qualified to play in the PGA Tour). Winning a PGA Tour provides a tour card for a minimum of two years with an extra year added for each additional win with a maximum of five years.

The European Tour: This organization organizes three leading men's professional golf tours in Europe: the European Tour, the European Seniors Tour and the Challenge tour. The European Tour is the primary golf tour in Europe and the second to the PGA Tour in worldwide prestige.

•Japan Golf Tour: This tour is presently run by the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO). Most of the leading players of this tour are Japanese although people of different nationalities can also participate. The Japan Golf Tour offers the third highest annual fund out for regular golfers after the PGA Tour and The European Tour.

•The Asian Tour: The tour includes countries like Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines and Switzerland. This tour also hosts Asia's richest golf event, The HSBC Championships.

•PGA Tour of Australasia: This tour is a feeder for larger tours like the PGA Tour or the European Tour. Most of the leading players of this tour are from Australia and New Zealand. The leading championships of the tour include The Australian Open, The Australian PGA Championship, The Australian Master and the New Zealand Open. The Heineken Classic is the richest event of this tour.

•The Sunshine Tour: The mentioned tour is based primarily in South Africa. The participating countries are those of Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The tours three official money events are The South African Open, The Alfred-Dunhill Championship and The Joburg Open. Though The Sunshine Tour co-sanctions the HSBC Championships in China, it is not an official money event for the tour. •The Canadian Tour: The tour bases itself in Canada and previously known as the Peter Jackson Tour. To prepare the players for the PGA Tour, this tour sets a goal for all tournaments to be 72-holes. The tour prepared predominately Canadian Touring pros but also welcomed golfing professionals from all round the world.

•Tour de las Americas: The particular tour has joined the PGA Federation in the year 2007 and aims to cover the whole region from Argentina to the Caribbean.

•Professional Golf Tour of India: This tour is a successor to the Indian PGA Golf Tour and serves as a feeder tour to the higher level tours such as the Asian Tour and also the PGA Tour and the European Tour. The events do not carry world ranking points apart from the SAIL Open, The Indian Open and the Avantha Masters. These events have been co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and The European Tour.

•The OneAsia Tour: The tour is based in the Asia Pacific region. It was formed in the year 2009 as a joint venture between the PGA Tour of Australasia, The Korean Golf Association and the Korean PGA Tour. Since 2010, the tour has its own world ranking status.

•The LPGA Tour: The Ladies Professional Golf Association is best known for running the LPGA tour, one of the most important women's professional golf tours, which is a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tour is held between February to December of every year. The Women's Senior Golf Tour is known by the name of The Legends' Tour.
