Ajit Agarkar was born on 4th December, 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Being the third highest wicket taker from India in ODI Cricket, Ajit Agarkar is a bowler to watch when he is in full swing. Mostly called as an ODI (One Day Internationals) player, Ajit has a very few success in the longer format of the game at International level.
Early Career of Ajit Agarkar
Ajit started playing First Class Cricket for Mumbai Team in 1996-97. He got break in International Cricket in 1998 in the match against Australia where he took the wicket of Adam Gilchrist. He started with a bang in ODI Cricket completing his 25 wickets in 10 matches and 50 wickets in 23 matches. Ajit Agarkar become the main Indian fast bowler in ODIs, but struggled for the place in the Indian Test Squad. Meanwhile he takes several 4 wickets haul in ODI Matches. But due to the emergence of bowlers like Irfan Pathan, Balaji and R.P. Singh, he lost his place in ODIs also.

He has the record of having scored the fastest fifty by any Indian in ODI Cricket in just 21 balls.
