Chris Hoy was born in the year 1976 23rd March at Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. The full name of Chris Hoy is Sir Christopher Andrew Hoy. Chris Hoy is one of the best track cyclists in the world. He represents both Great Britain and Scotland. Chris Hoy was the Olympic gold medal winner in 2008 Beijing Olympics. Chris Hoy completed his schooling in George Watson's College in Edinburgh and completed his higher studies from University of St Andrews in the year 1996. At the age of six itself, Hoy showed his talents in cycling events.
In 1992, Hoy gives more importance to track cycling event and joined City of Edinburgh Racing Club. Hoy won his first International medal in Team sprint event in 1999 with silver medal. 2008 was his best year where Hoy won an Olympic gold medal in 2008 Beijing Olympics in Team Sprint and 1 km track time trial events.
