Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her partener Elena Vesnina are now in the final of the women's doubles event of the 2012 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship. In this 500 series event, they will now face the top seeded pair Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond. The second seeded pair of Sania and Vesnina defeated the pair of Peng Shuai and Hsieh Su-wei in a tough semi-final by 6-2,6-7,13-11. After winning the first set easily the opposite pair won the tough fought set, but in tie breaker Sania and Vesnina played well to make to the finals. In another semi-final, Liezel and Lisa easily defeated their opposite pair of Nuria Llagostera and Anastasia Rodionova in straight sets by 6-3,6-2. This sets the final clash between the two top seeded pair for the women's doubles event of the tournament.
Before that Sania and Vesnina defeated the pair of Maria Jose MartinezSanchez and Shahar Peer in the quarter-inals by 6-1,4-6,10-8. In the first round of the event the defeated the pair Fatma Al Nabhani & Andreja Klepac by 6-1,6-3.
