London Olympics 2012 Archery Ranking Round South Korean Archer Im Dong-Hyun sets world record

London Olympics 2012 Archery Ranking Round was held at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. In Men's Archery ranking round South Korean Team smashed 2087 points and occupied the first place and sets out the first new world record in London Olympics 2012. Earlier the same team has claimed the world record with 2069 points at World Cup Series at Turkey. It was the South Korean Archer Im Dong-Hyung who broke his previous world record of 696 points and now scored 699 points with 72 arrows in the men's archery individual ranking round.
IM Dong-Hyung is legally blind in his left eye with 20/200 vision and his right eye has 20/100 vision. It is worth to mention here that he won Team Gold at Athens in 2004 and at Beijing Olyimpics in the year 2008.
Here is the London Olympics 2012 Men Archery ranking round top players points. IM Dong-Hyun of South Korea scored 699 points, Kim took 698 points followed by Oh Jin with 690 points. Godfrey Larry scored 680, Furukawa Takaharu scored 679, Brady Ellison scored 676 and Ruban Victor scored 660 points.
It is quite disappointing for India as it heaped to the bottom and occupied 12th place in the Men's Archery Team. The Indian Archery Players Jayanta Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai and Rahul Banerjee has taken a combined score of 1969 points. In Individual ranking Indian archery players Tarundeep Rai scored 664 with 72 shots and occuped 31st place, Banerjee scored 655 points and occupied 46th place, Talukdat scored 650 points and placed at 53rd position.
Here is the London Olympics 2012 Women Archery ranking round top players points. In Women's Archery ranking round Korea's KI Bo Bae, Lee Sung Jin and Chinese Taipei Tan Ya-Ting got identical scores of 671 and placed first, second and third respectively. The Indian Women Archery players Deepika Kumari scored 662, Laishram Bombayla Devi scored 651 and Chekrovolu Swuro scored 625 points.
