Champions Trophy hockey 2011 shifted from India to New Zealand
It is s great shame for Indian Hockey that the venue is lost to India and may be for ever. The authorities in Hockey in India is answerable for the mishap. On one side, our POOR hockey players have bring laurels winning the Champions Cup beating the arch rival PAKISTAN by a good margin of 4-2 and on the other side, the Hockey associations fight each for their supremacy on the sport. The Ajay maken bill should be passed and made applicable for all and the current authorites should be grounded immediately particularly for HOCKEY.

English Premium League Club Blackburn play exhibition match with Pune Football Club
The Football community in Pune and elsewhere are totally disappointed for the time being as the proposed visit of the Blackburn Rovers to the subcontinent is postponed. The decision is taken by Blackburn club due to the recent Bombay blasts. However, their manager, Steve Kean has confirmed that the trip is not cancelled and that the proposed tour to the sub continent would be made sometime in the beginning of October this year. Though we are dejected for postponement of the first ever visit of an EPL Club, considering the current climatic conditions, may be this may be turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

It is true Mr Sarkar, Sawa is the motivational factor for Japanese girls and thereby for the entire Football community as a whole. Apart from the World Cup 2011, Japanese have also won the hearts of the country as also FIFA Fair play award, Adidas Golden Boot, Adidas Golden Ball Award both to Sawa. In a very adverse situation in japan due to the natural calamities there, this victory is a great morale booster. Hats off to the young team.
